John started school!
John has spread his wings and is off into big things: Kindergarten. What a kid, riding his little bike to school with his backpack and lunch. We walk together and he doesn't put up a fuss at all when I drop him off. He's having fun and says the time goes by fast. His favorite part is snack time. His teacher is Ms. Ernst, a kindergarten teacher of three years, who is kind and fun. Mom cried a little the first day when she saw one of her friends who asked how it went. She wasn't the only one. I took some pictures of John at his seat at the table, but I don't have them right now. Here's an example of John's work that he brings home.
It is supposed to say Horse. He came home today with a note from the teacher saying he had gotten in trouble, which he had already told me (which is good), so I helped him write a note. (see above)

Camping In The Great Smoky Mountains National Park
The infamous tent that Jennie and I "burnt" on our honeymoon.
Lila just chillin by the fire.
Makeshift frying pan. We may have caused early onset Alzheimer's in the process. It was worth it. We also had pancakes.
