John has spread his wings and is off into big things: Kindergarten. What a kid, riding his little bike to school with his backpack and lunch. We walk together and he doesn't put up a fuss at all when I drop him off. He's having fun and says the time goes by fast. His favorite part is snack time. His teacher is Ms. Ernst, a kindergarten teacher of three years, who is kind and fun. Mom cried a little the first day when she saw one of her friends who asked how it went. She wasn't the only one. I took some pictures of John at his seat at the table, but I don't have them right now. Here's an example of John's work that he brings home.
It is supposed to say Horse. He came home today with a note from the teacher saying he had gotten in trouble, which he had already told me (which is good), so I helped him write a note. (see above)

That John is such a big boy! I'm glad he's getting into all sorts of fun at Kindergarten. I love and miss you all.
Wow! Kindergarten! That must be exciting for John! John is the same age as our son, Adam's, boy (Devin) who is also starting kindergarten this year. Hope we can sell our place soon so we can be around them more, but it hasn't happened yet. It's tough to remain optimistic, but all we can do is try. Glad you survived the flooding that we heard so much about. Good luck to you in Texas!
Your friends,
The Blackburns :)
(That's a sidewards smile)
