I love you, my mother!
My children are such a joy to me, such a wonder. This year, I only got to talk to them on the phone, as I am away house-hunting (and enjoying a little r&r). I talked to them after church and John told me he had made all sorts of presents for me in church and wished I was there so he could give them to me. I asked him if he would save it for me (some of it was chocolate). He said he had an idea to give me a present of words. So he said, "Here it is: I love you so so so so so so so so so much." They sang "I Often Go Walking". They are having fun being back at "Home" in Lewisburg!

Trip to Kirtland, Ohio
We traveled to Kirtland on the weekend of April 13th. We took a tour of the visitor's center and surrounding buildings, like the sawmill, the ashery, the Whitney Store and home, and the Johnson hotel. We later travelled down to the Johnson farm, which was a spiritual experience. The Whitneys and the Johnsons were incredibly humble and generous people.
We later took a tour of the Kirtland temple, which the Community of Christ church is trying to maintain/restore. It was amazing to be there and the tour guide was very knowledgeable.
When the kids had had enough of that, we went to a park and flew kites.
Then drove to our hotel in Cleveland right by Lake Erie and had fun swimming, etc.
